INNOVATION CHALLENGE

An Innovation Challenge is a periodic open call for innovative products.
Entries we choose from this process will be presented to a featured partner for consideration for a licensing and distribution agreement. The specific industry and partner change from month to month.
Our licensing and manufacturing partner for this challenge is Bethlehem Lights.

We’re seeking innovative product ideas in the following toy categories:
• Christmas Trees
• Incandescent as well as LED decorative lighting
• Greenery (wreaths, garland, swags w/ battery operated lights)
• Window candles (battery operated)
• Foliage/florals for spring or fall
• Unique storage ideas
• Reinvented nostalgia items
We’re looking for innovative design and having IP in place for this project is not necessary. Any and all ideas welcome.
See the video below where Bethlehem Lights GM, Jim Wenz, outlines what winning ideas look like and offers some insider knowledge including ideal customer and se- lection criteria for QVC.

Trident is an innovation agency. We connect great invention ideas with manufacturers and distributors to create real-life products.
Trident Invents was founded as Trident Design, LLC in 2000 by inventor, Chris Hawker, as a vehicle for him to develop and and commercialize his own invention ideas. Trident has gone through several transitions and iterations over the years. We have concentrated on product development, crowd funding, and licensing.
We now focus exclusively on product licensing, but our vast experience in all other aspects of innovation, IP, negotiation, and networking, allows us to deeply understand where the inventors we seek to serve are, and how to get them where they want to go.
